Like a farmer who generously sows his seed, so believers are urged to generously sow their resources. Just as God takes care of the farmer, so He will take care of all who trust in Him with their financial resources. He may not supply all of our wants, but He will meet all of our needs- Praise the Lord!
This is an assurance from the Lord Jesus Christ. During lockdown because of Covid 19 many people are suffering especially migrants, labourers, daily wage earners and students from other parts of India who are in the cities. Many people does not have even a meal a day and are having horrible times. Dear brothers and sisters whom God has blessed abundantly, let us not only open our hearts but also our hands and resources and try our best to help those brothers and sisters who need help. We thank God for many people who have selflessly contributed for others. May God bless them abundantly.
The Bible teaches us that we should decide in our hearts on how much to give. We should not give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”2 Corinthians9:7. In order to be blessed by God we must give or contribute from our heart with cheerfulness.
Dear brothers and sisters, this is the opportunity that God has given us to show that our faith goes along with our work. The Bible says, “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James1:22-25, 27.
So, our duty as a child of God is to do His Will and presently His will for His follower is to give to the poor and needy people cheerfully. God promises that He will bless us for doing good. I am so happy with all the people who are really helping the people who need roti, kapara and makan” during the lockdown period.
This lockdown will continue, so dear brothers and sisters, let us follow the command of our Lord Jesus to help the people in need. Bible says that our generosity will result in thanksgiving to God (2 Cor.9:11). Amen!
